An international school at the heart of French creativity

Founded nearly 40 years ago, 3iS – International Institute for Image and Sound – has become France’s largest school dedicated to creative industries: film, audiovisual media, animation, sound, music, video games, performing arts, communication, and acting.
From the very beginning, its mission has been clear: to offer innovative, career-focused programs with an international outlook, placing creativity and collaboration at the heart of learning.
 
Today, with campuses in ParisBordeauxLyonNantes, and Avignon, 3iS welcomes over 2,700 students representing nearly 50 nationalities every year. To make its programs even more accessible, the school offers 100% English-taught tracks in Paris and Bordeaux, as well as a unique foundation year combining intensive French learning with an introduction to artistic and technical fundamentals.
 
3iS is a member of Campus FranceCampusArtCILECT, and GEECT – international networks that bring together the world’s leading film and audiovisual schools. It also takes part in the Erasmus+ program and works in partnership with major French cultural institutions, including the Académie des César.
 
Renowned for its state-of-the-art facilitiesvibrant student life, and excellent employability rates – with more than 90% of graduates finding a job within six months – 3iS provides an outstanding environment for learning by doing.
