ELECTRO BOOTCAMP – ANALOG ASSEMBLY

3iS Bordeaux
June 29 – July 10, 2026.

This summer, 3iS is launching Analog Assembly: an intensive camp entirely dedicated to DAWless music production and performance. 100% hardware. No Ableton, no laptop, no mouse. Just you, a synth, a groovebox, a drum machine and the sound built from your own hands.

Why DAWless?

In a world where everything runs through a screen, DAWless is a return to what matters: a physical connection with your instrument. Turning a real knob, feeling the resistance of a fader, hitting a pad… these practices change your relationship with music entirely.
Where software gives you thousands of plugins and infinite tracks, hardware invites you to make choices. That constraint isn’t a limitation, it’s a creative engine. The best electronic artists know it: some of the strongest ideas come from working within restrictions.
And on stage, the difference is radical. A DAWless setup doesn’t just replay a recorded sequence, it’s played, modified, adapted in real time. It demands technical precision, a deep knowledge of your gear, and genuine musical instinct. But it’s also what makes every performance truly unique.

Program

Over 2 weeks and 70 hours of intensive training, you will:

  • Learn DAWless production techniques from scratch
  • Master your hardware: synthesizers, grooveboxes, drum machines
  • Build and structure a complete live set
  • Develop your sound design skills
  • Perform live in front of an audience at the final session

The program combines theory, hands-on practice, and live performance training. You leave with a set ready to play.

Your Mentor: Rummy Sharma

Rummy Sharma is an internationally recognized mentor specialized in hardware music and DAWless performance. He works with artists to help them master their live setup and develop their sonic identity. For Analog Assembly, he co-designed the curriculum with the 3iS team, delivering an experience that is technical, creative, and performance-driven
Fees

  • Current 3iS students: €750

  • 3iS alumni: €1,500

  • External participants: €3,000

The program is taught in English. Open to all levels : producers, DJs, and musicians curious about making the switch to hardware. (This internship is also open to 3iS students and 3iS alumni).
