  1. Take time to plan and structure your ideas
Before you start writing, reflect on what you want to convey and organize your thoughts. Draft a first version, then refine it. Your statement should flow naturally and present your arguments in a clear, logical way.

  2. Make it personal and authentic
Remember: it’s your story. Research 3iS beforehand—explore its identity, values, atmosphere, facilities, and your chosen program. Be genuine and highlight what sets you apart, such as your motivation, specific experiences, or extracurricular activities. These details will make your application stand out and strengthen your profile.

  3. Be clear and concise
Avoid long, overly complex sentences. While your personal statement should provide sufficient insight into who you are, keep it focused, direct, and engaging.

  4. Pay attention to language and accuracy
Proofread carefully. Proper spelling and grammar show that you are serious, professional, and truly invested in your application. Mistakes can obscure your message and weaken the overall impression.

  5. Care for presentation and readability
A well-presented personal statement reflects rigor and professionalism. Keep formatting clean and legible. Before submitting, ask someone you trust to review it—an external perspective is often invaluable.
  1. Showcase your artistic identity
Your portfolio should reflect your personality and highlight what makes you unique. Let your individuality shine through your application.

  2. Explain your work Accompany each piece with a short description outlining your creative approach, the techniques you used, and your artistic intention.

  3. Highlight diverse forms of expression
Feel free to include different formats such as videos, photos, audio recordings, or other media to demonstrate the breadth of your creativity.

  4. Focus on quality over quantity
Select the projects that are most significant and most relevant to the program you are applying for. Organize them in a way that illustrates your artistic evolution.

  5. Pay attention to presentation
Your portfolio reflects both the quality of your work and your artistic potential. It also shows how seriously you take your application—so make sure it highlights the very best of you.
